So our wedding is slowly on its way and it is time to pick flowers for my bouquet and of course center peaces. I feel little stressed about the matter. I usually buy very colorful flowers to our apartment and honestly something in the bright colours ( especially yellow and orange like a sunshine ) always catch my eye. But when it comes to our wedding i feel little confused. I still love bright colours but then again i worrying that dramatically colourful bouquet will take all attention on itself and i as a bride will be forgotten. Hehe, i know it's silly but i wonder about it..
But colours are one thing.. What about the flowers themselves? Roses, Peons, Gardenias, Orchids, Baby Breath... and so on and so on, so much to choose from ! How will i ever manage to make my mind on what flowers will i have in my bouquet ? I simply couldn't make my mind and still not too sure ! But then suddenly i remembered that actually there is a flower language or language of love like some say. The idea is, that each flower has its own meaning. I went on a little google research to find the perfect language for my own bridal bouquet :) I am not exactly there yet, but i am starting to have some ideas, which is better than where i was at first ! So i am not really searching for the flowers i love anymore but for hose flowers that actually "say" something that is important to me! Yes i know this is probably a really silly way to choose a bridal bouquet , but as long as the bride is happy - everyone is happy, wasn't it so ? :)
If you are in a similar situation as i am, and you just don't know what would you have as your bridal bouquet. Then maybe you should choose those flowers that actually are close to your heart.
When Prince William and his Catherine married last year i was as much waiting to see the dress as i was to see her bridal bouquet. Curiosity was HUGE! And i loved both! According to statement on the Official Royal Wedding Website, the bouquet was a shield-shaped wired bouquet of myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth.
Here are flowers' meanings in the bouquet Catherine had:
Lily-of-the-valley: Return of happiness
Sweet William: Gallantry (or in this case i think the name of the flower itself could be the reason for choosing that flower, just little maybe ? :) I so wish there would be sweet Henri flower!!!)
Hyacinth: Constancy of love
Myrtle: The emblem of marriage; love
Here are some other flower meanings :
